About Schirnhofer Ges.M.B.H Company

The company's headquarters are in the small town of Kaindorf near Hartberg in Austria, which has a population of 1,050. Karl Schirnhofer's father began producing sausage products here in 1950. One of the first types of sausage was Braunschweiger, which is still made today according to a traditional recipe.

The history of the Schirnhofer butcher shop in the Styrian market town of Kaindorf near Hartberg goes back to 1926 - and in 2016 we can look back on 90 years of family history.

Karl Schirnhofer is the third generation to run the company, which is now one of the largest family-owned Austrian meat and sausage producers. The rise from a small village butcher shop to one of the most renowned large companies in Styria was founded by Karl Schirnhofer Sr., who specialized in the production of sausage products in the 1950s. From this point on, the business has grown continuously.

Today, our technically excellent employees produce around 650 different products. During production, we attach importance to both ecological and social requirements, because without these, enjoyment would not be compatible with a clear conscience. Our finest food is an expression of our responsible treatment of people, animals and nature.
